My story in a few words

My name is Marina Matafonova. I'm a copywriter who writes and edits texts for business purposes in English, Russian and Latvian. Together we can create texts on various topics and in different formats. I’m based in Latvia but work with clients from a number of countries.

I became a freelance copywriter after working in journalism, public relations and marketing. I now have over 20 years’ experience in creating texts. I immerse myself in each new subject so that I can talk about it in a clear and interesting way. I regularly update my skills – I have a journalism degree, and qualifications as a copywriter and storyteller.

My goal is to make sure that your company's texts are unique, comprehensible, enjoyable to read, and neat. The best business texts are structured around specific details, so I ask lots of questions and do additional research.

I write and edit texts to bring more interesting stories into the world, as these help people to communicate and understand each other better. I believe that well-composed stories can bring you closer to your existing customers and attract new ones too.
